They're funny, delicious, sweet, and zany books. There is important information for menopausal women that you won't learn this thoroughly anywhere else. It should be standard issue for Middle-Aged Hotties, who are usually just as baffled by their symptoms and behavioral changes as much, or more than their friends and family. Plus, there's plenty of shocking, fascinating, and heart-felt behavior, and entertaining antics for fans of Lucille Ball, Erma Bombeck, Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum," and the followers of the "Confessions of a Shopaholic," series. This book feels much like those grand old standard books, if the heroine was in the thrall of all of the Middle-Aged Hottie angst that goes along with "the big change." I laughed thru the whole series. Great vacation read.
This box set is definitely something we should all read. Funny, some parts cringe worthy, i dont know what else to say..
I found this to be very funny and charming to read. I loved the characters and their improbable situations. It is nice to read about older characters, even if they do not act their ages.
This book had me crying, laughing, wondering and imagining such great things. Thank you for bringing the realities of menopause to my attention. Perimenopause has been fun, but oh the joy I look forward to. Ha .

I laughed out loud (including the odd snort). No subject is taboo in Lexi Taylor’s hilarious middle-aged misadventures. Any women who have suffered a ‘hormonal incident’ will relate to Lexi’s dramas. Throughout all Lexi’s madcap escapades the core of the stories relates back to family bonds and love. These entertaining stories are great fun and I highly recommend for mature readers. While the heroine has some redeeming qualities, few as they were, she's too self-absorbed & self-centered to like & the emphasis (yes yes she was a super model so her outlook is understandable) on all her brand name apparel with price tags to boot, tend to be so boring - who needs to know all these all the time? Not totally an airhead but pretty much there by flinging around her money to buy love or at least compensate for not being there for anyone in her family.
This is the kind of series I look for characters I can relate to and grow to love. Linda Cousine takes us on a domestic romp through child-raising, money troubles, business success, good and bad marriages, and aging parents. In other words, all the stuff we ALL deal with. Brava to Liinda for pointing out the fact that plenty of us over-fifty-year-olds have a lot of life left in us. And that we can even, on occasion, wear sexy heels AND kick up our heels (but probably not at the same time.) The sweet affection between Alexis and Richard, based on years of learning about each other, hurting and loving each other, and accepting each other despite their foibles, is as lovely as the humor is acerbic. After reading this series, I'm definitely going to look for more by Linda Cousine.
